We’re always on the lookout for DIY ideas and inspiration for our next project or pop-up store. And while researching on some paper origami, we came across this artist that blew our minds away with something so simple and a total reflection of how we can find art in our everyday life.

Paper Flowers was created by Japanese designer – Haruka Misawa. Inspired by spirals of pencil shavings, these paper beauties were created using layers and layers of paper with color gradations, to simulate shavings from a pencil sharpener. A closer look reveals the thinly sliced, multi-layered paper which can form different variations depending on how thick it is ‘sharpened’.

Beautiful aren’t they?
